About River Birch Consulting
Founder Jay Hammett got his start in technology by building applications for Fortune
500 companies. His days as a developer/consultant evolved into delivering the same
cutting-edge solutions to medium- and small-sized companies that were having to
choose between over-priced boutique consulting firms or low-priced, inexperienced
outfits. Success in this endeavor led to a full-time Senior Developer position for
The INJOY Group, one of his clients. During his tenure at INJOY, Jay developed many
web-based applications and assisted in the over-arching technology strategy for
the company, working closely with IT management.
In 2005 Jay was promoted to the position of IT Director. During his tenure as a
director, Jay established very effective communication with the executive leadership
to ensure the operational fulfillment of the INJOY vision. During this time, he
earned the certification of ITBMC, and maintained a million-dollar budget.
In 2007, Jay opened the doors to River Birch Consulting. River Birch brings together
Jay's experience as an applications developer and IT department manager, and as
necessary, combines with any number of his extensive network of IT and other corporate
colleagues, to provide optimum experience to those who need it the most in the marketplace.
